Ungdomskurs 1: (11-16 years)

Basic courses for young people aged 11-16 years who can not swim or who are not confident in deep water without assistance. The course is held at Sogn Bad

Objectives:

  • Getting used to water
  • Breathing technique
  • Floating on your belly
  • Floating on your back
  • Controlled line in the water with straight arms
  • Crawl kick on belly and back
  • “survivalfloating”

Ungdomskurs 2: (11-16 years)

Classes for youth between the ages of 11-16 years. In this course we work with simple crawl- and backstroke techniques. The course is held at Sogn Bad. 

requirements:

  • Floating on your belly for 10 seconds
  • Floating on your back for 10 seconds
  • Glide in controlled streamline with straight arms
  • Crawl kick on belly and back

Distance goal: 25 meters.

objectives:

  • Rythmic breathing
  • Simple crawl og Backstroke technique
  • Swimming 25m crawl with rhythmic breathing
  • Swimming 25m backstroke with good line and rotation
  • Diving from the edge and holding streamline underwater

NB! The course is recommended for adolescents who are confident in the water, unless it is recommended to take Level 1 first.

Ungdomskurs 3: (11-16 years)

Classes for youth between the ages of 11-16 years. In this course we work with more advanced crawl- and backstroke techniques, and simple breaststroke and butterfly. 

The course is held in a 25 meter pool at sogn bad.

Requirements:

  • Must know simple crawl and backstroke
  • Must be able to swim a 25m crawl with rythmic breathing
  • Must be able to swim a 25m backstroke with a good line and rotation
  • Must be able to dive from the ledge

Distance goal: 200 meter.

Objectives:

  • Advanced crawl and bacstrokse technique
  • Simple Breaststroke and butterfly technique
  • Dive from block and various turns
  • Life saving with items to assist

NB! It is recommended to take Level 1 or Level 2 first if you have not had swimming lessons earlier.

Ungdomskurs 4: (11-16 years)

Classes for youth between 11-18 years. Here we work with advanced medley technique, as well as exercise routines.

The course is held in a 25 meter pool at sogn bad.

Requirements:

  • Must know Advanced crawl and backstroke technique.
  • Must know basic breaststroke and butterfly technique.
  • Must know how to dive from a block and do turns

Distance goal: 1000 meters.

Objectives:

  • Advanced breaststroke and butterfly technique
  • Medleyturns
  • Lifesaving with CPR
  • 50m Crawl in under 1 minute
  • Swimming an approved 100 medley in under 2.20

After completing the youth level 4 you can get a spot in the club’s training groups. As spots are limited, motivation and skill levels will be essential criteria for what one will be offered during the course.
