Beginners courses

Oslo idrettslag swimming offers courses in compliance with the Norwegian school of swimming’s plan for education in water. The beginner courses are built around getting used to water and the four core skills that are central for becoming a sufficient swimmer. At the courses Hval, Pingvin and selunge, the focus is to master both diving underwater, gliding, floating and propulsion. The participant will perform exercises that contain elements needed to master swimming.

Note that there have been some changes to the course system. We have the following courses:

-Vannmerket

-Hval level 1

-Pingvin level 2

-Selunge level 3

-Sel level 4

-Delfin level 5

There are multiple instructors per group, where everybody is normally together in the beginning and end of the session, and in smaller groups during the lesson, suited for the individual children’s needs.
